Patriotic Art Competition

Hi NCA Families and Friends! If you’ll recall the art competition from a couple of weeks back, we have some exciting news for you! The Carolinas Freedom Foundation is proud to announce that 2 students from NCA were chosen as winners in the US Airways Patriotic Art Competition!Sieway Hunt, a 7th grader and Josiah Andrews, an 8th grader were the chosen contestants! Sieway finished in 2nd place overall in the state of North Carolina. Sieway will receive a $100 cash award and the opportunity to ride in the US Airways Salute To Veterans Parade tomorrow, November 9th in Uptown Charlotte! Josiah finished as an honorable mention overall in the state of North Carolina.

Both Sieway’s and Josiah’s works will be displayed at the Government Center in Raleigh for a time, and will soon be transported to Charlotte’s Douglas International Airport where they will ultimately be displayed. Because of their outstanding work, NCA will also receive a cash reward, which will go toward school supplies! “LIKE” these young artists’ excellent work and don’t hesitate to share this great story as well!
