Teacher Recognition Day!

Good morning, NCA Families and Friends! Today, we resume teacher recognition Wednesday – and it’s time to get excited! Today, we are very pleased to present Mrs. Tracy Fernandez – our Middle School Histories and Creative Writing instructor! Mrs. Fernandez is in her 11th year teaching overall and we couldn’t be happier that she is part of our NCA family! She and her husband John, came to us by way of the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood areas of Florida. They came to Charlotte due to her husband’s new job, and found Northside initially as a place of worship. They knew immediately that the Lord guided them to Northside specifically because of the strong family feel and wonderful community atmosphere that they experienced. Doors opened so quickly and seamlessly, that they knew it was undoubtedly by God’s guidance. Soon after joining Northside Baptist, she was able to land an interview and was offered a position teaching sixth graders. Right away, she fell in love with the students and their families and has been an integral part of our community ever since! She has also taught third graders, fifth graders, taught high school age sunday school communities and has also spent time on the administration side of academics. Her passion is seeing the light turn on in the minds of her young students and has a strong conviction to keep the students engaged by making learning fun! She not only has a heart for helping students learn, but she also is passionate about being a living curriculum in front of her students and wants to impact them eternally. Because of her diverse background at different grade levels, her versatility really proves effective in how she is able to impact her students and it really shows! Her love for God and for her students is very contagious here at NCA and only reflects the environment that our young students are involved in! One aspect of NCA that Mrs. Fernandez loves is that her two children are able to attend school here – and that she can have confidence that their education will be engaging, effective and very high quality. It’s also a bonus that she gets to see them in the halls each day! She and her husband love being involved in any way they can here at NCA. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Fernandez loves photography, reading, shopping and traveling with her family!
