Eight NCA Student-Athletes Named To All-Conference Basketball Team!

This particular Friday is turning out to be quite a happy one for us! We’re more than excited to announce that eight of our student-athletes have been named to the All-MAC Basketball team! Members from both our girls’ and boys’ varsity teams made the cut – and we couldn’t be more proud of these all-around great kids!

Members from the girls’ varsity team include: Kylee Calabrese, Jayon Leak, Jess Leak, Eleah Parker and Shamani Stafford. Not only are these ladies great basketball players, but they are also excellent students and wonderful people!

Members from the boys’ varsity team include: Nate Hinton, James Lewis, Jr. and Chris Martin. These young men are gentle souls off the court, but fierce competitors (and talented) on the court! Their work in the classroom has been nothing short of exemplary and they know how to succeed in the classroom as well as on the court.

We’re exceedingly proud of all of these student-athletes for their accolades that were rightly deserved for their play on the court. What makes us even more proud is that each of these individuals represents his or her school well wherever he or she may be. Each plays with class, respect for themselves and respect for the opponent and opposing fans. Also, each is a shining example of what it actually means to be a student-athlete (emphasis on student first, athlete second) and for that – we can’t be more thankful!

We hope you’ll extend a congratulations to each of these student-athletes, as each is extremely deserving of the honors awarded. We can’t wait to see what all of them will go on to do in life – academically, athletically, professionally and most importantly, spiritually! Way to go, guys!
