NCA Middle Schoolers Chosen to NCMEA All-State Chorus!

The good news just keeps rolling in! This past weekend, we received a report from Mr. Taylor Nelson, Choral Director here at NCA, that some of our outstanding students received some incredible recognition! Take a moment to read Mr. Nelson’s account of all that happened on Saturday:

 

 

“Four of NCA’s top singers performed in the Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday, April 16, 2016, as members of the North Carolina Music Educators’ Association Middle School All-State Chorus. This prestigious choir allows the best middle school singers across the state of North Carolina to work together to learn, perfect, and perform challenging music for an audience of over one thousand listeners. Northside congratulates Calvin Fernandez (’20), Elizabeth Toufekoulas (’20), Andrew Walford (’22), and Lauryn Stanfield (’22) for their selection to this group. The students prepared their music and traveled to the event under the direction of NCA Choral Director, Mr. Taylor Nelson (’09), and NCA Elementary Music Teacher, Ms. Bethany Broesder. Notably, Northside is the only Christian school in the Charlotte area to have students included in this event!”

Let’s remember to congratulate these wonderful students on accomplishments of this kind of magnitude! This was certainly not an easy feat and we salute them for their hard work, dedication and talent! Way to go, guys!
