NCA Welcomes New Coach

NCA has named Ashley McGuirt as the new varsity girls’ basketball coach.  Coach McGuirt brings to the Lady Knights a passion for the game she has been playing since she was 4 years old.  She has a great desire to build a strong future at Northside.  Coach McGuirt is a graduate and former player of Providence Day, winning 2 state championships while she was there.  She played at and graduated from Queens University of Charlotte and has served as an assistant basketball coach at Providence Day and Gaston Day.  Coach McGuirt will also assist the middle school basketball coach and is “looking forward to a great start and is very excited about joining the Northside family.”

Additionally, Northside has named Coach Joe Badgett as Head of Basketball Operations.  Coach Badgett has served as assistant coach to former UNCC teammate, Coach Byron Dinkins for the past 3 years.  He has been involved in coaching basketball for over 10 years.  “I look forward to continuing to build a tradition of great basketball at Northside while making an impact for the kingdom in the lives of our young men and women.  We have a strong coaching staff and we are looking forward to another great season of basketball!”
