NHS & the Special Olympics
12Mar, 2013
The National Honor Society helped to serve the Special Olympics of North Carolina’s Western Regional 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, March 9, 2013. The tournament was held at The Fletcher School in Charlotte, NC. Twenty teams participated in the event. Twelve NHS students served in a variety of roles, such as: clock-keepers, score keepers, ball chasers, water servers, and lunch attendants. When the event was over, venue director Laura Abee told NHS supervisor, David Nelson: “If I am a venue director next year, I will ask for your group to work for me.” Way to go NHS members! Thank you for representing our school and our Lord in such a fantastic way!
