When students step foot onto a college campus as a freshman, it only takes them a matter of minutes to realize that they aren’t in Kansas — or high school — anymore. Without proper guidance, sound wisdom, and hands-on assistance from their academic counselors or family members, the entire college process can become very overwhelming and may even discourage some students from pursuing higher education.

At Northside Christian Academy, we place great value on making sure our seniors leave prepared for college and are ready for success in their chosen career paths. How do we do this? Through our College Guidance Program.

Begin with the End in Mind

When it comes to preparing for college, our college guidance counselor encourages students to begin their final years of high school with the end goal of college in mind. Senior year can tempt students to slack off a little bit, but our College Guidance Program pushes them along a track set for success. Our counselor prepares your child for his or her next steps by providing a full range of services for all aspects of academic life and college preparation.

Our Unique Program

When your student participates in our program, they will receive valuable, personalized guidance based on their individualized goals through the following avenues:

• Individualized, educational workshops available for 9th -12th graders.
• Individual and group student meetings.
• Personal visits with college representatives.
• College tours.
• Campus visits.
• SAT and ACT test prep.
• Assistance with college applications, interviews, and scholarships.

Our dedicated college counselor does more than simply offer advice to your student. She goes above and beyond by building strong relationships with not only your child, but with parents as well.
She’s an incredible resource who can connect your child with college representatives across the country, and she takes great care to encourage your student to select a college that will ultimately allow them to not only reach their educational and career goals, but more importantly, their spiritual goals as well.
