NCA Alum Bryan Whyms Making Waves In NCAA Track
21Apr, 2015
We’ve got some exciting news to share from the world of NCAA and Southern Conference Sports! A big congratulations to 2014 grad, Bryan Whyms for his recent accomplishments! Bryan, a freshman on the UNC-Greensboro track team, ran a personal best of 1:56.41 in the 800 meters at the N.C. A&T University “Aggie” Invitational on Saturday, April 11th in Greensboro. He finished 5th overall out of 49 runners, and first for his team.
Bryan will be competing in the 800, 1500, and the 4x400m relay in the Southern Conference Championships in Birmingham, Alabama this weekend. This will be a highly competitive meet and will allow runners like Bryan to really stand out. Not only has Bryan done a great job on the track this year, but he’s also done really well in the classroom as well. We are excited that this Alum and scholar-athlete is representing his hometown, NCA and also UNC Greensboro well!
Coach John Brooks, who worked with Bryan here at NCA, knows that Bryan is capable of these great accomplishments and expects that he will continue to improve! Great job, Bryan, keep up the good work – we’re extremely proud of you!
