Farewell, But Not Goodbye!
The end of a school year is usually a very happy, exciting time. There are graduations, goodbyes, new families enrolling – and a few tears somewhere in between.
This year is no exception. Even though we are very happy for our graduates and that it’s now summer time, we move ahead with tearful, but thankful memories.
The past seven years here at NCA just flew by – and what a great and exciting ride it has been!
As usual, when each school year closes, there are always transitions. This time of transition hasn’t been an easy one – but if there’s anything that Mr. Tony Fajardo’s legacy has taught us, it’s this: that even during times of change, we must always be striving on the journey to excellence.
And it’s during this time of change that we happily remember the years that Head of School, Mr. Tony Fajardo spent with us here at NCA. Even though he’s transitioning away from NCA, we still consider him as a lifetime member of the NCA Family! Because of this, allow us to tell you just who Mr. Fajardo is and why we reluctantly say farewell to him and his family.
Mr. Anthony Fajardo, husband of Becky Fajardo and father of Corey and Ty, came to NCA seven years ago with high energy, positivity, a strong work ethic and the difficult challenge of leading NCA into the next level of excellence in Christian Education. Slowly, but surely, Mr. Fajardo began the arduous task of not only righting the ship, but also creating a family environment here. As many educators know, getting a school back on the right path is no easy task, but that’s just what he did. He went to work with and for us, and steered us on to better and brighter horizons!
During his tenure, we saw steady, consistent growth and retention, and even watched as he brought the school faculty, staff and administrators together in ways we didn’t know were possible. He led and oversaw challenging and difficult accreditation processes, training and development in educational technology among faculty, and pushed for growth in spiritual emphasis, athletics and the arts.
His motto, “We need to be better today than we were yesterday,” has been a way of life for him – and he never deviated from this.
“better today than we were yesterday”
Tony Fajardo
Mr. Fajardo was faithful to his office, faithful to his administrative team, to his faculty, and especially to his student body. His main passions for Christian Education are to lead children in spiritual development and to provide an excellent, quality educational environment – and that’s just what he did. He fought for our teachers, he fought for our students, and many times, he shared impressive and innovative visions for our future.
We can certainly tell you this: that Mr. Tony Fajardo and his dear wife, Becky, love the NCA Family with everything that they have. The Fajardos committed themselves passionately to NCA and graciously and tenaciously accepted difficult challenges, and were the first to celebrate our students’ accomplishments. We can’t show enough gratitude for their time and service here with us and we count it all joy to have served along side him and his family.
So, with this, we wholeheartedly, passionately and sincerely say, “Thank You!” Thank you, Tony, for your steadfast leadership and your faithfulness to us. Thank you, Becky, for your passion in showing people what the NCA Difference was all about. We are so much better because of you and your family, and we can never repay all that you’ve done for us!
We wish you all Godspeed in your next phase of life, and pray that God bless you beyond all measure.
Love and Blessings,
your NCA Family
